IamarecentComputerSciencegraduatefromIowaStateUniversity,andIhavespentthelasttwoyearsbuildingbackendsthatholdupunderrealload.Tome,softwareismorethancodeinaneditor.Itisaboutbuildingsomethingthatmakestechnologyfeeleffortlessandgenuinelyhelpspeopleintheirdailylife.
MyjourneyinCSbeganwithrightclickingawebpageandhittinginspect.Overtimethatcuriosityturnedintoarealinterestinhowasystembehavesunderpressure,howaservicestaysupforpeopleallovertheworld,andhowitanswersjustasquicklywhethersomeoneisnextdoororontheothersideoftheplanet.
ThesedaysIamdrawntobackendandinfrastructurework,wherethosequestionsactuallygetanswered.Icontributetoopensourcemostmonths,andmostweeksIspendaneveningreadingaboutquantumcomputingandWeb3.Awayfromthescreen,Icook.

Cloud and DevOps
Igetservicesontothecloudandkeepthemthere.Containers,automateddeploys,andenoughmonitoringtoknowsomethingiswrongbeforeauserhastotellme.Icareabouttheunglamorouspartstoo,likeisolatingwhatrunswhere,cappingwhataprocessisallowedtoconsume,andreclaimingwhatisidlesothebillstayssane.
AI Integration
IaddAIfeaturesthatholdupoutsideademo.Thatmeansstreamingmodeloutputasitarrivesinsteadofmakingpeoplewait,groundingsearchinembeddingssoitmatchesmeaningratherthanexactwords,andalwayswritingthefallbackpathforwhenanupstreamAPIhasabadday.
